Jelly Shoe Love.

Dress - H&M
Cardigan -Hand me down
Jelly shoes - Ebay
Socks - Primark

On Thursday I went over to my friends house for a day filled with drinking tea and knitting. I'd been knitting the same ball of wool for about two years in an attempt to make a scarf. I finally finished said ball of wool, only to realise that I'm going to need about two more until I get to the length I want to. It's my own fault for making the scarf so damn wide. I reckon around Christmas 2016 I'll finish the bloody scarf, by which point I better hope I'm living somewhere cold.

So after a day of sunbathing and being a grandma, we met up with a group of friends for two-for-one cocktails. Safe to say I got drunk, very drunk, but not drunk enough so I forgot my own name. No, that was reserved for freshers week and shall never happen again. Another thing that will never happen again is White Russians, yuk.

Anyway, this is what I wore and I just had to put a choker on after taking these pictures because I felt like I was channeling the 90's so much. My friend even said I looked like a Clueless extra. And, oh so many compliments on my jelly shoes. I remember having pink sparkly Barbie jelly shoes when I was younger and thinking they were the coolest shoes I will ever own. Since then nothing has quite compared to my pink sparkly Barbie jelly shoes, that is except these. I mean they're not as cool but they're so close. If they were better quality then I wouldn't be able to fault them. I've only worn them two or three times and I've already had to super glue them back together which is a shame.

I'm travelling down to my boyfriend's on Monday and I'll be staying for about a week, so I don't think I'll be able to post as much but we shall see. I do have a small July haul post planned so keep your eyes peeled for that if you're interested.

Because just watch the video. Amazing!

Creepers and Mom Jeans.

Cropped Jumper - Ark (Heats and Bows)
Cropped Shirt (Worn underneath) - ASOS
Mom Jeans -  Topshop
Belt - Vintage
Creepers - Ebay

Look at me doing full outfit shots, how snazzy, and you can see how short I am. But also, how nice my double sole creepers are, ey? I know creepers aren't really a 'thing' anymore but I still love them. I remember trawling through Ebay to try and find a cheap pair instead of paying full price for the Underground creepers. Bare in mind this was before they were so readily available in pretty much every high street store. I paid about £20 for them and then sat and waited for about a month for them to be delivered to me all the way from China. It was worth the wait cos let me tell ya, I instantly fell in love.

I also fell in love with the idea of mom jeans ever since cut off Levi's was a thing. I thought to myself 'Yeah cut offs are rad, but wouldn't they be more rad as jeans?' and so the search commenced. I scoured many a charity shop and scrolled endlessly on Ebay but I came back empty handed. That is until other people started thinking the same thing as me, and when I say people I namely mean Topshop. Hallelujah! And the best bit? I bought them at a discount when I went to the student lock in night at Lakeside shopping centre.

I also got the cropped jumper I'm wearing at a discount in the Ark sale (look at me saving all the monies) which you can still get in a size 10 here. It does look more of a red colour online and is more of a purple in real life so do be wary of that. But reduced from £18.99 to £5 you really can't go wrong.

Big thank you again to everyone who reads and comments and follows this blog. It's so nice to see a positive reaction especially as this blog is still a baby. Here's a song to tickle your ears as a token of appreciation.

Because it's my ultimate feel good song.

Playsuits and Hoops.

Playsuit - H&M
Denim Jacket - Charity shop

Ok, so everyone and their Grandma has this playsuit from H&M but I don't blame them, I mean look at it. It's so cute. The cut is super pretty and I especially love the back which is one of the main reasons I bought it. We'll ignore the possibility of getting funky tan lines. It's still in the shops as far as I know and comes in quite a few different colours and patterns (I've seen at least three) if you're after something easy to chuck on in summer. My sister liked it so much she actually stole mine from me last night so she could take it on holiday with her. Typical.

I wore this to a garden party charity event yesterday that my best friend's sister organised to raise money for Parkinson's UK. It was such a fun day and they'd gone to so much effort. There were bands playing, a raffle, a bar (with deliciously cheap beer), so much cake and hot-dogs. They'd even got me some veggie ones, bless. I was roped in to help out on the tombola which was great apart from when a little boy started crying because his mum realised he was cheating and told him off. The kid had already won some body butter and a teapot earlier in the day, what more could he want eh? I totally had my eye on the teapot, too.

As the last band were playing it started to rain but in true British style we just stayed put and got the brollies out, haha. The band braving the rain was called Man Can't Fly and were really good (and hot) you can have a cheeky listen to one of their songs below.

Jurassic Park.

Top - Primark
Skirt - Topshop
Belt - Vintage
Shoes (Creepers) - Ebay
Bag - Converse (Present)

So I actually wore this outfit on Monday when I traipsed around Leeds with my younger brother as he had a teacher training day. We needed to pick him up some new clothes as the boy is growing so damned fast I'm getting hand-me-downs from him! Wasn't a hugely successful shopping trip on my behalf but I did buy a delicious bath bomb and soap from Lush (oh how I love that place).

When I was a kid I had two main historical interests: ancient Egypt and dinosaurs. Literally would spend all day reading books about dinosaurs and what not. Having said that, I remember hiding myself behind an arm chair at my neighbours house when we were watching Jurassic Park on video for the first time so I never actually saw the full film until years later. Nevertheless, Jurassic Park 1, 2 and 3 are now firm favourites.

Anyway, point being, this top is awesome. I have worn this top to death and I only bought about 6 months ago. I will literally force it to go with everything, as you can see by my pairing it with a floral skirt. I got this skirt in the Topshop sale for a tenner or so but have only worn it on nights out as it has two slits up each side which you can't really see in the photos but nevermind. I thought that pairing it with a T-shirt and creepers (which you also can't see - bad photography skills) would tone the skirt down and make it a much more casual item. I want to start wearing this skirt casually a lot more so watch this space.

Just want to say a huge thank you to anyone that's reading this blog and commenting/following. It's really rad, and you're rad. So thanks for being rad, haha. Do leave links to your blogs so I can check them out too and leave a cheeky comment!

Because I think this song and video are fab.

Florals and Buns.

 Dress - Vintage
Cardigan - Hand me down

Long time no blog. I am terrible, I know. I have had a super busy couple of months finishing my second year of uni and attempting to sort out everything for my year abroad in France which is still not sorted and its stressing me out so much. Oh, c'est la vie. Everything will work out in the end and I'm sure ill look back this time next year and wonder why I was stressing out so much.

This dress was one of my last purchases before leaving uni and I picked it up for a steal at £7. Its from one of my fave vintage shops in Canterbury called Funky Monks so if you're down there definitely poke your nose in if you like denim jackets, ugly shirts and 80s dresses. I nearly didn't buy this dress as my suitcase was majorly overflowing, but then I imagined pairing it with my Doc Martins for winter or layering it with T-shirts underneath and jumpers on top, and and and... I just had to have it.

Because this will forever remind me of uni nights out.
